Catholic Business Connections


In 2019, Bishop Brian Mascord launched Catholic Business Connections (CBC)—an opportunity for business women and men in our diocese (active and retired) who share common values, to network and engage with each other and leaders representing the diocese. CBC gathers four times a year for lunch and to listen to guest speakers chosen to inspire with their unique story and share how they relate their work and spiritual life experience to the context of living in a modern world. We warmly invite our past members to renew membership, and new members to join. See below for more information.

Becoming a member or renewing your membership

Membership is for 12 months and follows a calendar year. Membership includes your complimentary admission to all events held within the year. We warmly invite our members to renew membership, and new members to join at the beginning of each year.

In 2023 we will continue to build our membership base, and in doing so would like to draw your attention to the following:

  • CBC membership will include your invitation to attend all four CBC luncheons in 2023, and an invitation to attend Bishop Brian’s End of Year Thank You Gathering in gratitude for your support.
  • The launch of the CBC Members Directory where CBC members will have the option to share their contact details with fellow members. This option will be available to you after joining CBC / renewing membership.
  • The introduction of a Guest Membership option, which is available for CBC members who would like to purchase a guest ticket for each luncheon. CBC Guest Membership is transferable, and represents a saving of $88.00 annually (rather than purchasing one guest ticket at full price for each lunch). This option will be available to you after joining CBC / renewing membership.
  • Members who introduce a new member to CBC this year will be offered the chance to receive complimentary CBC membership in 2024.

Members inviting additional guests

Members are welcomed to invite guests. Guest attendance per function is $132 (including GST) per person.

Tables of 10 (including the member) are available for $1,188 (including GST).

For CBC members who regularly bring a guest, we have introduced a new membership called Guest Membership. Guest Membership is transferable, and compared to purchasing one guest ticket for each luncheon, it represents a saving of $88.00 annually. This option is available to CBC members after joining CBC / renewing membership.


Members sponsoring an event

Sponsorship of an event helps reduce our expenses. Sponsorship opportunities are available to members for each event and include:

  • Acknowledgement and thanks by MC as event sponsor.
  • Corporate logo displayed in promotional emails and on the screen during the event.
  • Corporate information pack, brochure or small gift placed on the welcome table.
  • Two complimentary seats at the head table.
  • Vote of thanks.

Sponsorship is $2,750 (including GST) per event.
