CBC May 2023 Luncheon

Date: Friday 26 May, 2023
Time: 11:45am-2:00pm
Venue: City Beach Function Centre, Wollongong
Speaker: Fr Tony Percy
Topic: Australia: What Went Right? What Went Wrong?
Dress: Professional Attire
RSVP: 19 May 2023

Fr Tony will speak about his new book which espouses that nations need strong foundations if they are to endure. Resting on the work of Professor David Kemp’s five volume Australian Liberalism political history series, Tony investigates the liberal intellectual roots of Australia’s democracy and asks what went right and what went wrong. He shows that, by any reasonable measure, the last 120-odd years prove the roots of this nation are strong.

Signed copies of the book “Australia: What Went Right? What Went Wrong?”, will be available for purchase for $25. To learn more about the book click here.

Members and their guests are welcome! Members tickets are complimentary. Guests tickets are available for $132 each (inclusive of gst).

Catholic Business Connections (CBC) is an opportunity for business women and men in our diocese (active and retired) who share common values, to network and engage with each other and leaders representing the diocese. CBC gathers three times a year for lunch and to listen to guest speakers chosen to inspire with their unique story and share how they relate their work and spiritual life experience to the context of living in a modern world. Members are also invited to attend Bishop Brian’s End of Year Thank You Gathering.
