Foundations: The Primacy of Evangelisation (Campbelltown)

Date: Tuesday 2 September, 2025
Time: 7–9pm
Venue: Campbelltown
Cost: FREE

“I dream of a ‘missionary option,’ that is, a missionary impulse capable of transforming everything… The Church must be in a permanent state of mission.
POPE FRANCIS, EVANGELII GAUDIUM, §25

Description

A renewed parish is built on three things – the primacy of evangelisation, empowering leadership, and moving in the power of the Holy Spirit. Evangelisation is not simply first on the list and equal amongst the other foundations. It is to take prime consideration in the life of a community. A parish that is actively involved in and trying to evangelise will redirect all efforts to reflect this fact.

This formation will explore how we can prioritise evangelisation in our use of time, talent, and treasure, to make sure that the Great Commission doesn’t become the Forgotten Suggestion.

What is the Formation Pathway?

To assist parish communities in understanding and implementing Come & See, Go & Make: A Vision for Parishes (CSGM), we have developed a program of formation, known as the Formation Pathway. Consisting of introductory, intermediate and advanced formation, the Formation Pathway is designed to explore core concepts of parish renewal, equip and encourage the faithful, and help to nurture the existing culture of growth – personally and as a community. For more information, please see the Formation Pathway overview.
