Time: 7–9pm

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses…”
ACTS 1:8

Description

When we try to do things in our own strength, we can quickly become burned out, resentful, or lose hope. Parish renewal is too big a task for any one of us. As St Paul reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). It is God’s Church, God’s mission, and God’s power that we need.

This formation will explore how we can grow in openness to the Spirit’s presence, learn to recognise His promptings, and move confidently in His power. Together we will reflect on how the Holy Spirit equips us to persevere with joy, sustain hope, and bear fruit that endures for the renewal of our communities and the transformation of the world.

What is the Formation Pathway?

To assist parish communities in understanding and implementing Come & See, Go & Make: A Vision for Parishes (CSGM), we have developed a program of formation, known as the Formation Pathway. Consisting of introductory, intermediate and advanced formation, the Formation Pathway is designed to explore core concepts of parish renewal, equip and encourage the faithful, and help to nurture the existing culture of growth – personally and as a community. For more information, please see the Formation Pathway overview.
