Holy Hour for young adults

Date: Wednesday 13 March, 2019

Attention all young adults (aged 18–30) in the diocese! You are invited to Holy Hour in 2019 at St Francis Xavier’s Cathedral in Wollongong as well as the brand new Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Rosemeadow.

Each night will include Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, praise and worship (various styles), Reconciliation, Liturgy of the Word, short teachings, silence and benediction. This will be followed by fellowship and a meal.

What is Holy Hour? (aka Eucharistic Adoration)

Through the miracle that happens in every Mass, Jesus is made truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. So when we gather before the Blessed Sacrament in a monstrance on the altar, we are in the physical company of Jesus.

You can bring your own prayer books, journal, read the Bible, pray the rosary, speak and listen to Jesus, or just relax in the joy and peace that comes simply from being in the presence of our Lord, who loves us and wants us to be close to him.

When and where?

Wednesday evenings 6:30pm–7:30pm (followed by a meal).
