Time: 9am–1pm
Venue: The Fraternity Club
Speaker: Dr Emily Steel
Topic: Ageing with Confidence

Ageing with Confidence: What’s age got to do with it?

Ageing well isn’t just about services, it’s about dignity, confidence, choice and connection.

Join CatholicCare for this free community event designed to support older people, families and carers with practical information, respectful conversations and real-world guidance for navigating ageing well.

Ageism can influence how people are treated, how systems respond and how confident we feel asking for support. This event creates space to talk openly about these experiences and to explore practical ways forward.

What you’ll gain

  • A clearer understanding of ageism and how it shows up in everyday life
  • Practical insights to help you navigate care systems with confidence
  • Tools and perspectives to support ageing well at home and in community
  • Connections to local services and supports

Note: This session is repeated on Wednesday 22 July 2026 at Campbelltown Catholic Club. Click here for more details.

An initiative of the Diocesan Committee for Older People. Supported by the Catholic Development Fund.
