COVID-19 DIRECTIVES | Changes Effective 23 June 2021

The NSW Government has announced new rules, making face masks mandatory when visiting churches in the Greater Sydney Area which includes all parishes located within the Macarthur, Wollongong and Shellharbour Local Government Areas, along with reverting to the 4m2 rule. The Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven parishes are not affected.
Until 12.01am Thursday 1 July 2021:

  • Masks will be compulsory in our churches in the Macarthur, Wollongong and Shellharbour local government areas.
  • At the discretion of the parish priest, cantors and choirs are permitted as long as appropriate social distancing is maintained.
  • Congregational singing must not be undertaken.
  • Capacity limits in churches including for funerals and weddings revert to the 4m2 rule.
