All welcome to experience an evening of beautiful and engaging contemporary Catholic liturgical music. Introducing fresh repertoire and bringing new life to some Catholic classics, internationally renowned composer, theologian and Grammy-nominated Tony Alonso will share his passion for full, conscious and active participation of the liturgical assembly through singing, one of the most expressive of all human activities. The concert will invite you to wonder at the music we make in worship, encouraging joyful acknowledgement of the richness of God’s gift of song.

Tony Alonso is a Catholic composer of sacred music and a scholar whose work responds to the diverse realities of contemporary culture. His many compositions, which appear in compilations and hymnals throughout the world, embrace multicultural musical expressions and reflect a commitment to strong ritual song. Tony’s scholarly work lies at the intersection of liturgical theology and cultural studies. He holds a Bachelor of Music in choral conducting, a Master of Arts in theology, and a PhD in religion from Emory University. But most of all, he’s a fine Catholic liturgical musician in whose presence it is a joy to be and who is guaranteed to inspire you.
