Bishop’s Flood Relief Appeal 2022

My Sisters and Brothers in Christ

My recent Flood Relief Appeal for the Diocese of Lismore and for those in our diocese affected by the unrelenting rain and floods has raised over $60,000. In late June, on your behalf, I donated $50,000 to Bishop Greg Homeming towards his flood relief appeal for the people of Lismore, and $10,500 was allocated to families and individuals impacted by the floods across seven parishes in our diocese.

I “give thanks” and I am inspired by all those within our diocese who faithfully respond with love and support for those in need, living the true sense of a compassionate God.

In recent weeks, many communities in our diocese have again faced serious and escalating risks associated with heavy rain and flooding. For some, like our dear friends in Camden, it is the fourth time in a year.

So sadly, I am extending my Flood Relief Appeal, and once again, I invite you to provide ongoing and practical support and prayers for people in our own diocese impacted by the recent storms and floods. In doing so, let us continue to remember, pray for and support our friends in Lismore as they deal with the long term effects of the devastating floods they experienced in March this year.

Please consider donating to my ongoing Flood Relief Appeal 2022 below so that, with your support, we can meet this goal.

Yours in Christ

Most Rev Brian G Mascord DD
