News in Brief 162

on Thursday, 24 January 2013. Posted in News in brief

Our Diocese is growing and to plan for our future we are asking parishes to work together to make sure our planning and process of change will strengthen us in our roles as bearers of Christ’s love, in existing and new communities. The process for planning for the future builds on our existing diocesan pastoral plan and will be launched by Bishop Peter Ingham on Sunday, 3 February. Every family in the Diocese will on that day receive a Workbook. These will give you information about our role as baptised people in the Church as well as particular information about parishes and ministries in our Diocese. Our parish will have information and discussion sessions at the following dates and times:
Please add your name to the Registration Forms on the resource table at the back of the Church. It is very important you are informed about this process of change as every parish in our Diocese will be affected. We need your feedback as we prepare for the future!

The loss of a loved one through separation, divorce or death is one of life’s most traumatic experiences. It can result in deep feelings of loneliness, grief and hurt. Beginning experience is a weekend program to help grieving single-again persons move from the darkness of their grief into the light of a new beginning and move into the future with renewed hope. It helps deal with the natural grief process and offers and opportunity, through God for turning the pain of loss into an experience of positive growth. Contact
