DIOCESE OF WOLLONGONG LITURGY FESTIVAL: Saturday, 29 October 2011
We have set aside this day for celebration and ongoing formation of our liturgical ministries. All acolytes, servers, readers, extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, sacristans, children‟s liturgy teams, hospitality teams, musicians, singers and liturgy committee members are invited to gather at St Mary Star of the Sea College, Harbour Street, Wollongong.
Rev Brian Nicholls and Cathy Murrowood will lead us in the morning, with the keynote presentation and workshop on "Liturgical Theology – Eucharistic Spirituality." In the afternoon there will be workshops for the various ministries. The festival includes stalls featuring liturgical art and music, and other resources. The day will conclude with a celebration of Mass with the Bishop at St Francis Xavier‟s Cathedral. Please mark this day in your diary. ANNUAL CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE DIOCESAN MASS
to celebrate the Feast of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop will be held on Saturday, 6 August 2011 at 11.00am. Ss Peter & Paul Parish, Manning Street, Kiama. Lunch will be served following Mass.

MASS FOR VICTIMS OF SUICIDE
to be held on the Feast Day of Mary, Mother of Sorrows at Mater Dolorosa Church, Balmoral Street, Balgownie on Thursday, 15 September 2011 at 12noon. Refreshments will be served in the Church meeting room following Mass.

DEDICATION OF CO-CATHEDRAL St John Vianney Church, Fairy Meadow.

Join with Papal Nuncio Archbishop Giuseppe Lazzarotto and Bishop Peter Ingham on Friday, 5 August 2011 to celebrate the dedication of St John Vianney Church, Fairy Meadow and its designation as Co-Cathedral of the Diocese. Mass commences at 7.30pm.

MADRID ENCOUNTER. While some are soon to jet off to celebrate World Youth Day in Madrid, many more of us have not been able to attend, but we can still enjoy some of the flavour and excitement of World Youth Day. On Saturday, 20 August the Diocese of Wollongong, in association with the Wollongong Youth Mission Team and the Verbum Dei Missionaries, will be presenting „Madrid Encounter‟, a day-long event filled to the brim with all the things that make World Youth Day the amazing event it is, including Catechesis with Sr Hilda Scott OSB, a dramatic Way of the Cross, Reconciliation, a Spanish Fiesta, Mass followed by a Youth Festival. We also hope to get some live updates from our pilgrims direct from Madrid, Spain. All this for the special price of $10, which includes all meals. PILGRIMAGE TO HOLY LAND IN FEBRUARY 2012.
At the beginning of 2011, Fr John Ho had the privilege of visiting the Holy Land and seeing many of the places where Jesus lived and carried out his ministry. It was a great experience. Fr John will lead a group to visit Jordan and the Holy Land for 10 days from 5 –14 February 2012. Total package, depending on participants will be: $4,490 for 10-14 pilgrims, $4,390 for 15-19 pilgrims and $4,290 for 20 or more pilgrims. Single supplement is $AU750. To secure a place, a deposit of $350 per person is required however this will be refunded if numbers don‟t meet expectations.
