POSITIONS VACANT. Regional Faith Education Officers, Confraternity of Christian Doctrine
within the Diocese of Wollongong, with responsibility for working with a broad range of groups including parishes, schools, families, diocesan agencies, ecumenical groups, the NSW DET and other professional bodies in providing Special Religious Education to Catholic students in Government schools. NSW / ACT RCIA State Conference – Wollongong 16-18 September 2011
How do we welcome people into our Church community who are either not baptised (Catechumens) or baptised into another denomination (Candidates). This is the focus for the NSW/ACT State RCIA Conference being held here in the Diocese of Wollongong from 16-18 September 2011. The conference seeks to consider the variety of catechetical and pastoral needs of those wishing to become part of our faith communities. The conference will be an informative and valuable time for all those who minister in this area of Church life. The Compeer Program matches volunteers from the community with someone who has a diagnosed mental illness in a one-on-one friendship.
